Sam Hannant

Executive & Co-Founder

Our co-founder Sam is a plumber by trade who is fully licenced to install, test/maintain, and certify all types of water-based fire systems (including special hazards) and has specialised in fire services for over 18 years. He has extensive experience working on all types of commercial fire systems including high-rise buildings, airports, hospitals, mines, sports stadiums and schools – his expertise is unparalleled.

Sam is passionate about the fire industry and community safety and his industry involvement has included roles such as:

  • Master Plumbers’ Australia representative on the Australian Standards
    Committee for several fire industry standards, including AS1851, AS2304 AS2419 and AS2941.
  • Councillor, Master Plumbers’ Association of Queensland (MPAQ)
  • Member, MPAQ Fire Committee
  • Member, Queensland Building and Construction Commission Fire Committee

Sam also works as an expert witness in legal and insurance matters related to the fire industry. As such, he is well placed to ensure that Fire Tanks Australia delivers comprehensive services, including fire tank inspections, cleaning, maintenance, refurbishments and upgrades for its clients.

Israel Hannant

Executive & Co-Founder

As a Level 3 Commercial Diver, Dive Supervisor and qualified Dive Medic Technician, Israel is the backbone of our diving division. With a strong focus on safety and compliance, he brings a wealth of expertise to Fire Tanks Australia. 

Israel has been diving for 35 years and has worked exclusively as a commercial diver for over 10 years.  His experience spans tanks, reservoirs, dams, rivers, and seaways.  Specialising in inspecting, cleaning, and maintaining water tanks, including fire tanks, and reservoirs, Israel employs industry-leading techniques to ensure the highest standards are met.  His dedication to providing exceptional services is evident in every project he undertakes.
